Some of the things I use regularly, both for work and fun. Inspired by the interviews posted on Uses This.
If I could only have one bike and wanted to ride it everywhere, from mellow trails to technical singletrack to big park days, this would be the one.
Seriously, the Ripmo is the perfect do-it-all bike. Mine has been around almost all over the US without me ever feeling wrong equipped in any terrain.
I got this one when Florida parks were closed due to the pandemic, and everything I could ride on was pavement and bike paths. Nothing fancy here, but the Redwood was hard to beat for the price at that time (and is still a very good deal today), and the Microshift Advent X shifter/derailleur combo punches above its weight.
Why Cycles Wayward v2 (2022) (now part of Revel Bikes)
The bike I use when I want to go far and slow. Initially, a conservative trail hardtail running a 120mm suspension fork, nowadays it runs as a rigid drop-bar style mountain bike, sporting a Squidfork by Oddity Cycles and a Weird Ass bar by BTCHN’ Bikes.
A serious miles muncher, I have done multiple 100-ish miles rides in a row on this bike without feeling too beaten up.
Stanton Switch9er Ti Gen3 (2022)
My dream build and current do-it-all bike. An aggressive and capable enough hardtail that makes me ride almost anything without missing my full suspension. Perfect for big climbs and long days on the saddle and still so much fun in the downs.
